Jamie
Reno, Founder and Principal
Jamie brings over 18 years of professional writing, marketing
communications, and project management experience in the high
tech industry to his clients. Known for his versatility and
high quality results, Jamie started Reno Communications in
1998 to serve the industrys need for first-class marketing
communications, public relations, and information design and
delivery. Today, Reno Communications delivers these consulting
services to a variety of high profile clients as an individual
contributor, as a member of your team, or as an independent
creative services agency.
Past
Experience
Jamie was formerly the Director of Communications at Innovation
Associates, makers of PharmASSIST® pharmacy automation
technology. At Innovation, he played a vital role in the firms
launch of the PharmASSIST product to the retail pharmacy industry.
He built the infrastructure of the firms marketing,
public relations, and documentation functions, and has retained
Innovation as a client, overseeing all their marketing communications
and public relations activity.
Prior
to his Innovation experience, Jamie was the Director of Communications
at Thomson Financials Thomson Investment Software (TFS).
At TFS, he oversaw and served as a hands-on contributor for
all marketing, public relations, and documentation functions,
while managing a team of eight marketing communications and
documentation professionals.
Jamie
also held writing and directing positions at Bolt, Beranek,
& Newman, Raytheon Service Company, and WICZ-TV.
Education
Bachelor of Science degree in Communications & Broadcast
Journalism from the State University of New York (SUNY) at
Brockport in 1982.
Volunteer
Work
Jamie volunteers as a Playspace Activity Leader (PAL) for
Horizons
For Homeless Children at the Medford Family Life Shelter.
As a PAL for the past two years, Jamie supervises and engages
the children in fun, educational play every week. Prior to
being a PAL at Horizons, he performed periodic volunteer work
at Rosie's
Place, a homeless womens' shelter in Boston.
